Rockstar Removes Mod Support For GTA V

UPDATE: According to the GTA-5 Mods website, the Script Hook V program, which allowed players to use mods in Grand Theft Auto V is unusable through the recent patch. Also to be aware for those who have mods on through unofficial means by the PC community will result in either a ban or removal from players in Grand Theft Auto Online, through a response my friend on Facebook (who wishes to remain anonymous) got from Rockstar Support. So for those who want to use mods in Grand Theft Auto V in the future, you’ll have the single-player to be your playground for it as of this moment.

ORIGINAL: One of the best things that PC gaming did for GTA IV was the mod support, as it enhanced the experience of playing it on the platform. If you expect to use mods in Grand Theft Auto V as of today, well prepare to be disappointed as Rockstar Games has patched out mod support for the game.

Through the removal of mods, Patch 350.1 targets bugs, crashes and stability issues that you can see in Rockstar’s patch notes.

No official comment on why Rockstar Games removed GTA V‘s mod support.

Just a guy that is friendly and loves his video games to death. :3

  1. This makes sense. Imagine someone activates God Mode online? It would be preposterous. I like playing as a pony on single player mode by the way. Just FYI.
