Dakini by Jesse James Allen was inspired by the Daft Punk’s “Derezzed”, with an ending inspired by Jack Wall’s theme for “Mass Effect”. Composed over two and a half weeks across 38 tracks, Dakini explores some interesting themes both musically and sonically.
Perhaps the most unique attribute of Dakini is its focus on classical style piano passages that lead the massively stacked trance synth sounds.
Those who play through to the end section will be treated to a pretty radical drop into the climax of the piece; this transition sound was a wonderful experience in sound design itself as Allen put the sound together from a variety of synthesized elements.
In a nutshell, Dakini is many electronic styles rolled into one… enjoy the trip.
