E3 2017 is just around the corner, but yet another year, where Nintendo will not do a press conference. In Nintendo’s recent investor briefing, the company confirmed it chose not to hold a conference at E3 this year.
“Again this year, we will not be hosting a large-scale press conference for institutional investors, analysts and the media,” Nintendo said. “Nintendo of America will present further information on our plans at a later date.”
While Nintendo won’t have a major press conference, like Sony and Microsoft, it doesn’t mean the company will be completely absent from E3. Nintendo will still be on the show floor, showcasing new content for upcoming 3DS and Switch games like Splatoon 2, Arms and Super Mario Odyssey. Nintendo will also follow their playbook of doing an E3 Nintendo Direct and Nintendo Treehouse livestreams that fans can directly watch.
