The Retro Receiver lets you use bluetooth gamepads with your NES

Back in the day our mothers had to scold us for sitting to close to the TV, nowadays our couches are very far away from our TVs and unfortunately the old NES gamepads wire are very short that means you have to move closer to the TV, for those of us who have this issue, 8Bitdo and Analogue have teamed-up to create a bluetooth receiver that allows modern bluetooth gamepads to be paired with the NES and let you play.

These modern gamepads include but are not limited to the Wii U Pro Gamepad, Dualshock 3, Dualshock 4 and even the Wiimote, plus all 8Bitdo gamepads. Both companies have announced that the Retro Receiver will work on the original NES and the NT Analogue, no word on whether it will work on more popular NES clones such as the Retron5 but it says it works will all consoles with NES-style ports.

Another interesting feature is that the Retro Receiver will let you map the extra buttons as turbo buttons, you can also use an Receiver for two player situations, the official price tag will be of 19.99 USD with Play-Asia listed as the official retailer although it hasn’t been listed yet.
