After months of rumors, the Punisher has not only been confirmed for season 2 of Netflix exclusive, – fan favorite Daredevil. He has also been officially casted, and not just by anybody. Though he may not be slaying zombies, or sleeping with best friends’ wives, he’s back and with a big role too.

That’s right, Shane from AMC’s The Walking Dead will play Frank Castle in season 2 of Daredevil. Twitter is exploding at the news, and it seems literally everyone is not just satisfied, but very impressed at Marvel’s casting, – some even calling it a “home run”.
Take that, Daredevil!
Described by Marvel as “a vigilante who aims to clean up New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen by any means necessary, no matter how lethal the results.” Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s Head of Television says-
“Jon Bernthal brings an unmatched intensity to every role he takes on, with a potent blend of power, motivation and vulnerability that will connect with audiences. Castle’s appearance will bring dramatic changes to the world of Matt Murdock and nothing will be the same.”
