The Instant Game Collection is offered across all of PlayStation’s hardware, including the PlayStation Vita, at no extra fee (at least as long as you are subscribed to PlayStation Plus that is). The question is, does the lack of a direct fee for each PlayStation Vita offered game via PlayStation Plus give reason for owners of the PlayStation Vita to buy each game outside of PlayStation Plus? Here are some undeniable facts to consider about the device..
Positive:
- PlayStation Plus makes it easier for poor consumers to access games for their device with the only cost being storage space.
Negative:
- The Instant Game Collection is digital only.
- At the time of this article, PlayStation Vita memory cards are manufactured exclusively through Sony, making them horribly overpriced.
- Those who cannot afford a reasonable amount of storage will have to resort to buying games via retail in order to save as much space as possible.
- Consumers who cannot afford more storage are likely unable to afford to buy games via retail very often.
- Consumers who like to jump from game to game frequently yet are poor will have to delete games if the game they want to play is not presently on the memory card because the game takes up too much space.
As you can see, there is really only one positive aspect of the Instant Game Collection for poor PlayStation Vita owners.
