The Witcher 3 has sold 4 million copies

If you have purchased The Witcher 3 you are part of the more than 4 million that also did. CD Projekt Red has revealed that the game has sold four million copies in its first two weeks of sale. Marcin Iwiński, the company’s co-founder, has called the community’s support “both epic and heartwarming” in an open letter to Witcher 3 fans.

Four million RPG fans spending their hard-earned money on our game is a sign that we did something right, and you can be sure that we’ll harness all that positive energy and make the upcoming expansions worthy of the grand adventure that you’re telling us Wild Hunt already is! Until then, keep on enjoying The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, do not forget to grab your weekly set of free DLCs, and stay tuned for constant updates and enhancement to the game we are continuously working on.

This is a very impressive milestone for The Witcher 3 to accomplish, especially after it’s controversial visual downgrade and how The Witcher 3 costed about 32 million USD, most critics have awarded it very high scores. The Witcher 3 currently holds a Metacritic score of 93 on the PS4, 91 on the Xbox One and 93 on the PC version.
