Earlier today, Nintendo of Japan announced on their social media pages that Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS will be receiving another content update… in just two days! That’s right! On Friday, July 31, the same day the Dark Pit amiibo will be released at Best Buy, we will be receiving a batch of DLC for Smash Bros. including some Mii costumes, stages and the long-awaited Tournament Mode!
Later through the day, the official Smash Bros. Page on Facebook announced some of the content, and revealed more info will be released later, presumably tomorrow.
Some of the content that’s been revealed so far includes some hoodie costumes for the Mii fighters, a Chrom costume for the Mii Swordsman, both upcoming remade maps from the original Smash Bros. on the Nintendo 64, – Peach’s Castle N64 and the very anticipated Hyrule Castle 64 will return as well. Along with all this, the feature to upload replays from Wii U straight to Youtube will also be added, as well as one particular Mii Fighter costume that has everyone clamoring about:
The King K. Rool costume for the Mii Brawler. Take it as you will, but many are believing this to be a hint that as one of the most requested newcomers in the ballots around the world won’t be coming to Smash, and simply as a costume. However, many (myself included) believe this to be a tease that K. Rool will indeed be coming to Smash as a future DLC character. It’s just too ironic they would make him of all characters a Mii costume.
I know when I stop by Best Buy Friday morning to get my Dark Pit amiibo, I’ll also be stopping to get an e-shop card! So much content in one day! Will you be purchasing any of it? Are you excited for any specific part of it? And do you think K. Rool will or will not be coming to Smash Bros. now? Post your comments below!
I love this meme.
