Far Cry Primal will go live on Steam at 12 am EST on March 1. But for those who can’t wait or want to save some time you can now preload the game right now.
Preloading is the act of downloading a game unto your PC ahead of it’s release, you cannot however play the game until the date it’s released, those who are benefited are of course those who want to save themselves some time and play the game at midnight but those who benefit the most are those with slow Internet connections, either way, even if your Internet is very fast you’ll save yourself 20 to 30 minutes of your time since Far Cry Primal is 15.5 GB according to the official announcement on Steam:
We’re happy to announce that PC players can now pre-load Far Cry Primal.
Those that pre-load will be able to play immediately when Far Cry Primal launches on March 1st, 2016. The game size is about 15.5 Gb.
Pre-loading the game will ensure that you’re immediately prepared to tackle the Udam and Izila threats to Oros on launch day and will be available at the following times:
PC Pre-loading starting time: Feb 25th @ 9.00AM PST
(12.00PM EST / 6.00PM CET / Feb 26th @ 4.00AM AEDT)PC Release time: Feb 29th @ 9.00PM PST
