Metal Gear Solid V: Definitive Edition listed through retail websites

A 'Definitive Edition' for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has been popping up through various retailers online.

If this is true, then Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be getting a ‘Definitive Edition’ this October. Listings from online stores like Amazon Japan and the German retailer NetGames.de shows possible placeholders for this ‘Definitive Edition’ of The Phantom Pain on PlayStation 4. The link towards Amazon’s Japanese website has since been removed, with a 404 error, but the link to NetGames.de is still up along with an image of the Amazon Japan listing courtesy of metalgearsolid.be.

As stated earlier, if this ‘Definitive Edition’ is indeed a reality, it would most likely include both Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeros and The Phantom Pain, along with the separately released DLC for Metal Gear Online as a bundle. It’s highly unlikely the famous cut ending of The Phantom Pain would be added.

For now, take this report with a grain of salt until Konami officially confirms this to be true. We’ll also keep you up to date on all Metal Gear related news here at Stagger’d!
