Medal of Honor Franchise Goes ‘Out Of Rotation’

Chief operating officer of EA Peter Moore, announced today during EA’s third quarter financial call to inventors that the Medal of Honor franchise would be cut out of EA’s lineup due to the poor commercial and critical reception on the latest Medal Of Honor game Warfighter that was release last year on October 23, 2012.

“We struggled with two challenges: the slowdown that impacted the entire sector and poor critical and commercial reception for Medal of Honor Warfighter,” said Moore. “Medal of Honor was an obvious miss. The game was solid, but the focus on combat authenticity did not resonate with consumers.

“Critics were polarized and gave the game scores which were, frankly, lower than it deserved,” he added.

EA’s remaining shooter franchises as of now includes the Battlefield and Bad Company franchises, Army of Two, Crysis, etc.
