Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Sony has officially announce the PlayStation 4 in their New York City event today.
“It is a powerful and accessible system,” Veteran designer Mark Cerny said. “And it has a deep feature set to support the ongoing evolution of gaming itself.”
Mark Cerny also stated that the PlayStation 4 will have a ”massive” 8 gigabytes of RAM within the system.
The new DualShock 4 Wireless Controller that is equipped with a touchpad, a headphone jack, social share button and a light bar to identify the specific player similar to the Wii’s censor bar.
Also announce is the ability to suspend/resume the system instantly by pressing the home button on the DualShock 4 controller. The system will also be able to handle downloads of games even when it’s turned off and will allow you too also play the games while they are downloading! :8
You can also have the ability to stream gameplay footages and spectate other people’s streams on the new platform. Is Twitch having a heart beat from this news? 😀
You’ll also be able to use your PlayStation Vita to play PS4 games thanks to the help of remote play. The goal according to Sony is to make every PS4 game playable on the PlayStation Vita.
