Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Metal Gear Solid franchise, Konami has confirmed the release of Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection in North America and South America in June 2013.
“We wanted to give Metal Gear Solid fans the opportunity to experience the series from beginning to end, all on one console,” said Tomoyuki Tsuboi, President of Konami, “With the collection’s multiple titles, players can truly see how Metal Gear Solid evolved into the critically acclaimed and beloved franchise it is today.”
The Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Collection will include Metal Gear Solid (PS1), Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions (PS1), Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty HD (PS2), Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD (PS2) which includes the original MSX versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2, Metal Gear Solid 4: Trophy Edition (PS3) and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD (PSP). In addition to all those games, the collection will also include two of Ashley Wood’s digital graphic novels that cover the storylines of MGS 1 and MGS 2.
