The Bureau: XCOM Declassified Hits Aug. 20

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified

From the people who made BioShock 2, The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is a third-person tactical shooter set in the 1960’s as FBI special agent William Carter is task to investigate and stop an unknown extraterrestrial force that is threatening the very existence of mankind. Unlike previous XCOM games, The Bureau: XCOM Declassified will allow players to take on aliens in a real-time third-person shooter, rather than in an isometric turn-based tactical game. Creative director at 2K Marin Morgan Gray says that the game won’t be a typical run-and-gun shooter.

“What we’re attempting to do is a third-person squad-based tactical shooter,” Gray said. “Putting you right there in the field. No more sitting back, watching everything unfold from a god’s eye view.”

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified hits North America on August 20 and the rest of the world three days later. The game will sell for $59.99 USD for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
