Ubisoft says there will be no sequel for ZombiU

If you were a fan of the Wii U exclusive ZombiU and want a sequel to the survival horror FPS, well be prepare to be disappointed. Chairman and CEO of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot in a interview with Game Industry said that a sequel to ZombiU will not be planned because of the failings to make a profit out of the original.

In addition to the announcement, Yves mention that the relative failure of ZombiU made Rayman Legends a multiplatform title.

“We must find a way to ensure the creativity of those games could have a big enough audience,” he says. “We hope it will take off. At the moment, we’ve said ‘let’s do through Christmas and see where we are from there.'”

Ubisoft, unlike many other game companies, were one of Nintendo’s greatest supporters for the Wii U system even to claim that they were confident for it’s future but as of lately it’s not doing so with a statement from Yves saying that until the Wii U sells, it will pull its support after Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and WATCH_DOGS release on the Wii U.
