Sonic the Hedgehog, who has made appearances in 4 TV shows and over 70 games, will first be hitting televisions in the US (through Cartoon Network) and France (through CANAL J and GULLI) in his first computer-generated animated series. The series, aimed at children ages 6-11, will later have a roll out to other countries world wide. The initial order of 52 11-minute episodes is being co-produced by SEGA of America, Inc. and Genao Productions. Notable characters that have been confirmed for appearance in the show include Tails, Dr. Eggman, Knuckles, and Amy Rose.
There isn’t much else that is confirmed for the show, other than that it will be a character-driven comedy. Fans of the series should be ecstatic to hear that a new generation of kids gets to watch a show with Sonic the Hedgehog.
