Announced from New York Comic Con 2013, a new Spider-Man game from developer Beenox is coming and it’s based on the upcoming Spider-Man film, The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
The game will not be retelling the movie’s events instead having a unique new story about the focus of Spider-Man‘s search for Uncle Ben’s killer.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will feature new upgrades, abilities and challenges, as well as a new system called “Hero or Menace”. Good deeds are rewarded with unlocks, while letting bad guys go on in New York will have negative consequences. Players will also spend some time as Spider-Man‘s alter ago, Peter Parker as he investigates villains within the city of New York.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is expected to be release alongside the film of the same name for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and Microsoft Windows.
