Nintendo is continuing their tie-ins and partnerships with a new costume based on Masahiro Anbe’s Squid Girl manga as DLC for Splatoon. The costume only pertains to Japan at this time for an August release along with a free update that will add party matchmaking and custom games support with friends.
Knowing how the Mercedes Benz DLC for Mario Kart 8 was initially only for Japan then was release late on in North America and Europe, the same thing might happen with the Squid Girl costume in Splatoon.

Splatoon is available to purchase exclusively on the Nintendo Wii U with free DLC and updates coming later down the road.
