A massive new Nintendo Direct video has been revealed focusing on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS software throughout spring 2014. Just in time for the holiday.

Hyrule Warriors [Tentative Title]

Through a surprise announcement from the start of the direct, Satoru Iwata announced a collaborated Legend of Zelda title by Tecmo Koei called Hyrule Warriors. The game will combine the well-known Hack and Slash gameplay of the Warriors series with the world of The Legend of Zelda.

 

Hyrule Warriors is set to release sometime in 2014 exclusively for the Wii U.

Kirby Triple Deluxe

Iwata gave plenty of new details for Kirby’s next adventure on the Nintendo 3DS including a brand new multiplayer mode called Kirby Fighters and a rhythm based mode called Dedede’s Drum Dash.

Yoshi’s New Island

Produced by Takashi Tezuka, creative director of the original Yoshi’s Island for SNES, Yoshi’s New Island will bring the charm from the original Yoshi’s Island back to life in this new platformer.

 

Yoshi’s New Island is set to release sometime in Spring 2014 exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.

Chibi-Robo! Photo Finder

The cult classic Chibi-Robo series from the Gamecube era is back for a new installment on the Nintendo 3DS. As the four-inch tall friendly robot Chibi-Robo, your job is to go on a photo-finding quest for Mr. Curators’ museum to display your NostalJunks you find in real life with using the 3DS camera.

 

Chibi-Robo! Photo Finder is set to release on January 9, 2014 exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.

Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter

Iwata revealed more details on Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter for the latest Pokemon games on Nintendo 3DS. Pokemon Bank is software that allows players to store up to 3,000 Pokemon from Pokemon X and Y while Poke Transporter will be an application that lets players take their captured Pokemon throughout the years and transferred them into Pokemon Black and White, as well as Pokemon Black and White 2, and transfer them into Pokemon X and Y.

 

Pokemon Bank and Poke Transporter will launch December 27, 2013 for the Nintendo 3DS. Players can download a 30-day free trial version anytime between launch and January 31, 2014. After the free trial is over, an annual fee will be apply for the Pokemon Bank software. Players who accesses the box in Pokemon Bank by September 30, 2014, will receive free legendary Pokemon Celebi as a a special gift.

Bravely Default

The Regginator himself announce a free prologue demo for Bravely Default with an exclusive story that has hours upon hours of content not included in the main game.

 

The free demo of Bravely Default will launch in the Nintendo eShop on January 2, 2014. The full game launches in stores and the Nintendo eShop on Feberary 7, 2014 for $39.99 exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze

Iwata briefly spotlights the game’s fourth playable character, Cranky Kong, who was first announced during the VGX awards, and the game’s KONG-Pow move that the Kongs can execute once they collect 100 bananas.

 

 

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will be release on February 21, 2014 exclusively for the Wii U.

Sonic Lost World

Through a surprise announcement by Iwata, Sonic Lost World will be getting 2 free Nintendo-themed DLCs for the Blue Hedgehog to mess around in. The first DLC is a Yoshi theme zone called Yoshi’s Island Zone where Sonic must find all Yoshi eggs to save them all! Players will explore a zone filled with nods to both series in pipes, coins, piranha plants and even Sonic’s iconic loop de loop sections are all here.

 

The Yoshi’s Island Zone DLC is available now on the Nintendo eShop for free to download. Sonic Lost World is also available to purchase on both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

Wii Sports Club

Golf has joined the roster of sport games you can play in Wii Sports Club. Golf asks players to place the Wii U GamePad on the floor in front of their TVs in order to use the Wii Remote Plus to swing the ball on the ground, just as real golf is, enabling more precise control in your stokes. Wii U owners can play a free 24-hour trial of Wii Sports Club to allow players to sample all three sports and see which one they want to play the most if so choose to purchase them. The trial offer open to everyone, including people who previously sampled their 24-hour free trial.  A Club Pass for unlimited access to Golf can be purchased for $9.99.

Wii Sports Club is available to download now on the Nintendo eShop exclusively for the Wii U.

NES Remix

Selecting 16 classic NES games from the era, NES Remix takes those classic games and turns them around with new challenges for players to go through like completing Super Mario Bros. while running to the left. Or playing a revamped level of Donkey Kong that allows players to use Link from the Legend of Zelda series.

 

NES Remix is available now to download on the Nintendo eShop for $14.99 exclusively for the Wii U.

Dr. Luigi

Mario’s older brother Luigi is continuing to deliver surprises in the Year of Luigi as a doctor fighting off  viruses with color-coded pills in Dr. Luigi. Much like his younger brother’s classic puzzle game Dr. Mario, Dr. Luigi is a puzzle game that is a puzzle game that offers different skill settings and attacks in multiplayer games, and an original mode where pills are L-shaped.

 

Dr. Luigi launches exclusively on the Nintendo eShop for Wii U on December 31, 2013 for $14.99.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U

Rosalina from the Super Mario Galaxy games on Wii and in the New Super Mario 3D World on Wii U, will be a playable fighter alongside her friend, Luma.

Mario Kart 8

A new trailer for the upcoming Mario Kart game showcase new playable characters including Rosalina, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Baby Peach, and Baby Daisy. It also showcase 3 new courses for players to race in like an airport, desert, and the clouds.

Mario Kart 8 looks to drift in stores and on the Nintendo eShop in Spring 2014 exclusively for the Wii U.
