Nintendo partners with Universal Parks & Resorts

Nintendo land in real life!

Nintendo partners with Universal Parks & Resorts

Nintendo and Universal Parks & Resorts today announced plans to create theme parks based on Nintendo franchises. More details will be revealed at a later date, as both Nintendo and Universal Parks & Resorts have yet to develop the concepts for their future rides and attractions.

Even though Nintendo has posted profits this year, Nintendo is still recovering from the first year sales from the Wii U. It seems like Nintendo has been more open to licensing their Intellectual Properties recently, in March we reported Nintendo had partnered with DeNA for mobile applications among other things, so it’s not really a surprise to see them expanding it’s licensing to Universal Parks & Resorts.

Nintendo and Universal Parks & Resorts has been host to many attractions based on many of our favorite franchises including E.T. Adventure and The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man.

Nintendo’s partnership with Universal Parks and & Resorts opens tons of possibilities has unlimited potential. Let’s hope for a Legend of Zelda themed attraction and maybe something based on Mushroom Kingdom and not something like terrible Nintendo GameCube Exclusive: Universal Studios Theme Parks Adventure.

  1. That was a great game! The Wild Wild West part was the best!

  2. I’d rather see Disney team up with Nintendo, the quality of the rides and area would be much better.
