To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first competition in the 90’s, Nintendo brought back Nintendo World Championships this year with a bang! The competition was a spectacle to say the least. The participants competed in a number of games, including a world premiere look at Blast Ball on the 3DS, Earthbound Beginnings for the Wii U Virtual Console and the newly renamed Super Mario Maker.
Ultimately the winner of Nintendo World Championships 2015 was John Numbers of New York who became the champion after passing a difficult level in Super Mario Maker. Both Numbers and 2nd place participant Cosmo Wright won an autographed New 3DS XL systems autographed by Shigeru Miyamoto.
