Miiverse Redesign Going Live on July 29th

To Miiverse-holics across the world, Nintendo has finally announced the release date for the brand new redesigned Miiverse.

As posted by Tom of Nintendo, the new Miiverse will go live worldwide on the 29th of July, on the same day of Windows 10’s release no less.

Hi Miiverse, it’s Tom at Nintendo.
Today, I have news about the Miiverse redesign.
The new Miiverse will be unveiled on Wednesday, July 29th.
I hope that you will enjoy the new Miiverse and I’m looking forward to seeing your posts and drawings.
Also, I wanted to thank everyone who contributed their thoughts and ideas about the redesign.
I read through all of your comments on my announcement and noticed that many of you had concerns about the posting limitation and changes to the Activity Feed. Below, I will try to clarify a few things about the reasons for these changes. First and foremost, Miiverse is created for gamers to talk about games. For example, to give everyone the chance to ask questions about a game/app, or if you get stuck and need help in-game. Over time, some people have been using Miiverse for other things, such as long chats that are not game-related. These posts would prevent others from enjoying their favorite communities to the fullest.  In our games, we decided to redesign Miiverse.
I have also noticed that some of you had concerns about other parts of the renewal. Let me clarify some of these questions for you:
1.) You will be able to attach screenshots to your drawings in the Drawings section
2.) It will be possible to post the screenshots saved in your Album section into your Play Journal
3.) We are planning to enable the posting of screenshots saved in the Album into the “Drawings” and “Discussion” sections as well. This will be implemented sometime in the near future
4.) Posts and comments made before the renewal will not be deleted and will be viewable after the renewal
5.) The Activity Feed will remain as it is, you just won’t be able to post in it. You can still see the posts made by your friends and the people that you are following
If you have any further questions, feel free to share them with us:)
Thanks for reading!
