Starting tomorrow, Microsoft’s Games for Windows Live marketplace (GFWL) will cease to exist for PC owners to buy games and DLC. The move to ditch the marketplace is conjunction to Microsoft plan to replacing Microsoft Points with real world money in the latest Xbox 360 update.
It’s worth noting that Games for Windows Live is not dead just yet. GFWL will be disconnected on July 2014 while the PC marketplace for the service will die after tomorrow. The news of Games for Windows Live being disconnected was through an update to Microsoft Studios’s Age of Empires Online support page.
