The God of War: Ascension team is done with DLC for the game’s multiplayer component, and is moving onto “other projects”. The servers will remain active and monitored receiving fixes when necessary, but there won’t be any new content additions to the game. The last patch to the game will be a balance adjustment, and will hit when the game is made available as a digital download later this month on October 15. “Other projects” is very vague. It could be an entirely new project, which would be exciting, or it could be more God of War.

The latter of those two options is the less exciting one. Hopefully this means we may just well see a sequel to the disappointment that was PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. Whatever the case, this is a sign of a future announcement.
