American actor James Avery, best known as Uncle Phil in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, died on Tuesday at the age of 68.
Reasons for Avery’s death was due to complications following an open heart surgery in a Los Angles suburb hospital, Glendale Adventist Medical Center.
While Avery’s career was well known as the role of Uncle Phil in The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, his other well known works included voicing The Shredder in the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show and as the voice of War Machine in the 1990’s Iron Man animated series.
