During Capcom’s Street Fighter V panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed that the blonde shoto fighter, Ken Masters, will officially join the roster of over seven characters so far. Also worthy to note is that Ken is the fifth character to return from Street Fighter IV to Street Fighter V, with Birdie and Charlie returning from past games in the series.
This time around, Ken will be redesigned to be ”more aggressive” and ”in your face” than Ryu and will no longer sport his trademark red gi outfit.
Also announced at San Diego Comic-Con is a crossover the likes no one excepted, GI Joe and Street Fighter in a comic crossover titled Street Fighter X GI Joe by IDW Publishing. The first issue of this crossover comic is set to begin early next year.
The Street Fighter V Beta will begin on July 23rd on PlayStation 4 with a later release date for two betas on PC yet to be revealed.
