With Valve’s previous announcement to their own operating system called SteamOS, another piece of news has come from the home of Half Life and that is Steam Machines.
According to Valve’s Steam Machines page, Steam Machines will release their own parts of hardware to be running on SteamOS. The best part about it is that you’ll be able to choose what hardware fits your needs.
Valve will be working with multiple manufacturers to bring a variety of Steam Machines in the market by 2014.
Valve will be giving Steam fans the chance to participate in a beta to get prototypes of the Steam Machines. More info on the beta is at Steam Machines’ page.

I am not a PC game but I think this is pretty cool. I also love how Steam didn’t sell out to EA. Pure gold!
